We live in weird, troubled times where it’s very easy for malign elements to manipulate ‘news’, commentary and social media discourse, creating perceptions that are at variance with an often more complicated, messy and nuanced reality. Pause, think and reflect and do not take what you read or hear at face value. Discuss, debate, question and challenge where necessary – don’t let yourself get trapped in a silo or a bubble!
